This document provides a comprehensive guide to one of the seven sources used within the flow builder, detailing their functionality, configuration options, and potential applications. Each source is paired with practical use cases, best practices, and frequently asked questions to enhance your understanding and enable efficient implementation. The sources form the backbone of automated workflows, allowing for dynamic triggers and streamlined processes in communication and enquiry management.

## Description

Triggered based on a specific user action or condition, the **Drip Flow **allows you to configure a scheduled series of automated messages. It's used for following up with leadsleads, running marketing campaigns, or sending recurring informational content.

## Trigger Conditions

- **Shortcut: **
  - The drip flow can be triggered manually when needed from within the platform.
- **Recurring**:
  - The flow can be set to trigger repeatedly at specific intervals, daily, monthly or at a defiend period of time.

### Recurring Configuration Options

When selecting the **Recurring** trigger, you’ll be able to define the exact schedule for when the flow should execute. The following options are available:

- **Select Period**:
  - Choose how often the flow should run, options include Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly.
- **Every \[X] Day(s)**:
  - Set the frequency by specifying the number of days between each execution.
- **Every Weekday**:
  - Alternatively, enable the flow to run only on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
- **Start Time**:
  - Define the exact time (HH\:MM) at which the flow should be triggered on the selected days.
- **Scheduled Time Preview**:
  - A summary preview is shown below to confirm your selected schedule, e.g., “Daily at 12:00 AM”.

**Actions: **

1. **Create Campaign:**
   - The **Create Campaign **action allows you to send a predefined WhatsApp message to a targeted group of users.
   - **Configuration Options**
     - **Campaign Name**: Provide a recognizable name for the campaign. This will help you track and manage campaigns from the Campaigns dashboard.
     - **Channel**: Select the WhatsApp channel from which the message will be sent.
     - **Message Template**: Choose an approved WhatsApp message template from the dropdown list. The preview panel on the right will display how the message will appear to users.
     - **Segment**: Select a predefined contact segment to target. This determines which users will receive the message. You can use filters such as tags, lead status, or custom fields to create segments.
2. **Wait Action:**
   - Pause the workflow for a defined duration. Once the waiting period ends, the workflow continues with the next action, whether that’s sending a message, starting a campaign, or triggering another process.
3. **End flow:**
   - Stops the current flow from proceeding beyond a specific point. Use this when no further steps are required after a condition or action.

### Practical Use Cases

1. **Re-engagement Campaigns: **
   - Reach out to inactive contacts with a planned series of offers, reminders, or value-based content to bring them back into the conversation.
2. **Subscription-Based Updates: **
   - Send recurring messages (e.g., weekly insights, monthly reports, health tips) for users who opt in to regular updates.
3. **Upsell:**
   - After a purchase or interaction, gradually introduce relevant upgrades or complementary services in a time-based sequence.

## Best Practices

1. Limit your drip flow to 3–5 well-timed messages to keep users engaged.
2. Use dynamic fields like name or preferences to tailor messages and build stronger connections.
3. Space out each step thoughtfully to maintain interest and avoid coming off as spammy.

## FAQs

1. **Can I personalize each message in a drip flow? **
   - Yes. You can use dynamic fields like the contact’s name, tags, or custom fields to personalize each message in the flow.
2. **Is it possible to target users based on actions taken in previous messages? **
   - Yes. You can configure conditions that check if a user clicked, replied, or ignored a previous message and route them accordingly.
3. **What happens if a user unsubscribes during a drip flow? **
   - If a user opts out or unsubscribes, they are automatically excluded from receiving further messages in that flow.
4. **Can I run multiple drip flows for the same contact simultaneously? **
   - Yes, but be cautious, running too many overlapping flows may confuse users. Use tags or conditions to manage participation.
5. **How do I monitor the performance of my drip campaigns? **
   - You can track metrics like delivery rates, replies, and conversions from the Campaigns Reports dashboard.
6. **What’s the best way to test a drip flow before launching it? **
   - Create a test segment (e.g., using internal tags like “QA”) and trigger the flow for this group to review timing and content.
7. **Are users notified that they are part of a drip campaign? **
   - No, users are not explicitly notified. However, it’s recommended to include an introductory message explaining the purpose of the series.
8. **Can I stop a running drip flow for a specific user? **
   - Yes, you can manually remove a user from the segement or set conditions that automatically exit them once a goal is met.
9. **Do drip flows support time delay? **
   - Yes. You can use “wait action” in drip flow for time delay for sending templates.
10. **Is it possible to resume a drip flow from where it stopped? **
    - Not currently. If a user is removed or the flow is interrupted, restarting will begin from the first step.
