The WhatsApp Account Usage Report provides detailed insights into the consumption of WhatsApp Business API, categorized by conversation types (e.g., Marketing, Service, Authentication, and Utility). It helps businesses monitor usage trends and optimize their messaging strategies.
Purpose
This report helps track WhatsApp Business API consumption, understand the distribution of conversation types, and evaluate the effectiveness of messaging campaigns over time.
This module is accessible to Admins and Managers. Restricted users (users with limited views) cannot access this report.
- Navigate to the Reports module from the left-hand menu.
- Under the Chats section, select WhatsApp Account Usage.
- Timeframe Selection:
- Users can select a custom timeframe or predefined options like:
- Today
- Yesterday
- This Week
- Last Week
- This Month
- Last Month
- WhatsApp Account Selection:
- If multiple WhatsApp accounts are linked, users can switch between accounts to view usage data for each.
- Conversation Types:
- The report allows users to filter by:
- All Conversations: Includes all paid and free conversations.
- Free Conversations: Conversations not billed by WhatsApp.
- Paid Conversations: Conversations billed by WhatsApp based on conversation templates or triggers.
- Graphical Representation:
- Displays a line graph showing the trend of conversation types (e.g., Marketing, Service, Authentication, Utility) over time.
- Tabular Data:
- Below the graph, a table displays monthly data for each conversation type, such as:
- Marketing
- Service
- Authentication
- Utility
- Last Updated Timestamp:
- Indicates the last sync time for the report data with the WhatsApp Business API.
- Data Refresh:
- A refresh icon allows users to update the report and fetch the latest data.
How to Export:
- Right Click on the graphs only.
- Click the Download.
- The download will start automatically.
- The file will be downloaded as an image with the graph selected.
- Budget Management:
- Monitor paid conversations (e.g., Marketing and Utility templates) to ensure usage stays within budget.
- Campaign Performance:
- Compare trends in Marketing conversations month-over-month to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Customer Support Insights:
- Evaluate the volume of Service conversations to allocate resources effectively.
- Regular Monitoring:
- Check this report weekly to ensure messaging costs align with business objectives.
- Optimize Templates:
- Use insights from paid conversation trends to refine template content and minimize unnecessary costs.
- Align with Meta's Pricing Model:
- Understand WhatsApp’s pricing structure to maximize free conversation opportunities and optimize paid usage.
- Export Data:
- Export the graph to share with stakeholders or analyze trends offline.
