WhatsApp Business API

The WhatsApp Business API is designed for businesses that need to communicate with their customers at scale. It allows for real-time messaging, automated responses, and the ability to send rich media, all while ensuring secure and reliable communication.
Before you start:
- Make sure the number is able to receive voice calls or SMS for verification.
- Number should not be in use with the WhatsApp Messenger app or WhatsApp Business app.
- If your number already part of a WhatsApp Business Account, make sure 2FA is turned-off.
- Make sure that you have a payment method added to your WhatsApp Business Account.
- If you are creating a new account while adding the channel, you might get an error, and you will have to go through this process here once again after you have added a payment method.
Before you start, ensure you have the following:
- Sanoflow Account,
- Phone Number,
- Meta Business Suite Account,
Phone Number
Your phone number must:
- Be capable of receiving SMS/Calls.
- Not be associated with an existing WhatsApp account (personal or business).
- It can be a landline number, but make sure the IVR system is turned off if you have one.
Meta Business Suite
Create or log in to your Meta Business Suite account. Ensure your business details are up-to-date and your website is official.
Signing Up for WhatsApp Business API
Follow these steps to sign up:
- Navigate to Channel Settings: In Sanoflow, go to Integrations in Settings.
- Add Channel: Select WhatsApp Business API from the list.
- Connect with Facebook: Follow the prompts to log in and grant permissions.
- Business Details: Provide necessary business information and verify your phone number.
Sending a Test Message
Once your setup is complete, test the integration:
- Give users access: Before you can see a channel in your inbox, you need to add it to a team so the users can see it. Go to Users, then Teams, click on your team, then add your channel.
- Send Test Message: Use any regular WhatsApp account to send a message to the new account you just added to Sanoflow.
